Driving past Heathrow yesterday on the A30 a wondrous sight appeared. Sitting by the hangars was a Concorde. Gleaming in the sun it cheered even a miserable bugger like me.
Beautiful and wonderful, Dave. On occasion (when I was working), I would be lucky enough to be driving round the M25 at Heathrow at just the right time and would see (more often: hear) her take off. It used to brighten my day, too.
I've been puzzled - it sits there doing nothing, just off the A30, tucked behind the BA hangars. Surely they don't plan to fly it again? It's location doesn't exactly give it a great deal of PR value - so why do they keep it?

Maybe it's about to fly south for the winter.
